A decade ago, social movements like the Arab Spring, 15-M, Occupy Wall Street, YoSoy132, and Nuit Debout emerged, blending elements of progressive policies and hybridising into new democratic movements. They aspired to construct united social majorities to demand a deepened democracy and the extension of social rights. This social energy translated into electoral initiatives of a different nature.
