Jose Luis Moreno Pestaña

Expert in the sociology of eating disorders and mental health and in political philosophy

A lecturer in Moral Philosophy at the Universidad de Granada, he is a specialist in sociology of eating disorders and mental health as well as political philosophy. His research has often focused on contemporary philosophy and on the concepts of body, illness and power. His latest books include La norma de la filosofía: La configuración del campo filosófico español tras la Guerra Civil (Biblioteca Nueva, 2013), La cara oscura del capital erótico: Capitalización del cuerpo y trastornos alimentarios (Akal, 2016) and Retorno a Atenas: La democracia como principio antioligárquico (Siglo XXI, 2019).
