A graduate in Law, with honours, from the University of Naples, Della Morte is the director of the Law Department at the University of Molise, in the southern region of Italy, where he is also the Professor of Constitutional Law. 

He was the scientific supervisor of the University of Molise working group in an international scientific project entitled, Immigration, social policies and human rights (2015-2016), and of the research projects entitled Right to Asylum (2017) and Unaccompanied foreign-nationals (2018). He was also in charge of a research project entitled Legal, economic and managerial aspects for a sustainable development of the Molise region’s cultural and environmental resources (2015-2016).

He is the author of two monographs and some 70 scientific publications on constitutional law, regional law and constitutional justice.
