A lecturer in social and political theory at the Universitat de Barcelona, where he works with the Research Group in Economic and Social Ethics and Epistemology of the Social Sciences (GREECS) and teaches Introduction to Sociology, Economic Sociology and Social Movements subjects. He has carried out research at the Catholic University of Louvain, the University of Oxford and the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. 

Previously the secretary of the Basic Income Earth Network (BIEN), he is currently a member of its International Advisory Board. He is the deputy chair of the Basic Income Network and a member of the Editorial Board of the magazine SinPermiso. He also collaborates with the Observatory for Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (DESC).
