Vanesa Freixa

Rural reviver

She was the director of the Grípia Project-School for Farmers and Shepherds for 8 years and the director of the Obrador Xisqueta Association, both designed by the technical team at mOntanyanes (Rialp, Pallars Sobirà), a company of which she is a founding member.

mOntanyanes works on rural revival from a multi-disciplinary and cross-cutting perspective, while Obrador Xisqueta is carrying out a social economy project created with the aim, among other things, of paying a fair price for wool from Xisqueta sheep, an officially protected breed, to promote new productive and quality fabrics through crafts and to raise awareness of the primary sector's work in our environment.
