Journalist and writer. He is the recipient of the Ojo Crítico de Narrativa Award for his novel La hora violeta (2013), as well as the Los Libreros de Madrid Award for best essay and the Cálamo Award for best book for his essay La España vacía (2016), on the roots of country-city imbalance in Spain. His latest books are the narrative La mirada de los peces (2017); the essay Lugares fuera de sitio (2018), which won the Espasa Award, Calomarde (2020), and La piel (2020).

He is a columnist at El Heraldo de Aragón and a contributor to various media publications, including El País, Onda Cero and  Cadena Ser.
