Nasrine Seraji

Architect, researcher and lecturer

After studying at the Architectural Association and practising in London, Seraji moved to Paris in 1989 to set up her own studio and treat architecture as both a practice and a cultural debate. Since then she has committed herself simultaneously to architectural practices, teaching and research. She has lectured and exhibited her work extensively in Europe and North America, as well as in China and South-East Asia. Among other institutions, she has taught at Columbia University (New York), Princeton, the École Nationale Superieure d’Architecture Paris-Malaquais, where she was the dean, and at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts, where she was a lecturer in Ecology, Sustainability and Conservation and head of the Institute of Art and Architecture.

Seraji was honoured by the French Ministry of Culture as Officier des Arts et des Lettres and received the Legión d'Honor for her contribution to excellence in art and the humanities. She is a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects.
