Iñaki Alonso

Urban planning architect

Urban planning architect and a graduate from the Universidad de Arquitectura de Madrid (ETSAM), since 2001 he has been researching and implementing social-ecology and environmental projects applied to architecture and construction of the commons, an emerging space between public and private worlds.

A supporter of collaborative processes for communities and enterprises, whose main interests include development and social innovation in the creation of tools and mechanisms that promote collective networks capable of appropriating new production systems. In that regard, he has taken part in pioneering projects such as Ecometro, Entrepatios and Teatro del Barrio, common discussion spaces from the perspectives of ecology, housing and culture respectively.  

He is a founder, member and director of the SATT studio, dedicated to contemporary architectural projects with ecological criteria.
