PhD in Architecture, landscaper, urban-planning expert and director of LAND LAB

A PhD in Architecture, landscaper, urban-planning expert and director of LAND LAB, a landscape laboratory based in Barcelona. Through LAND LAB, García has been working on several projects aimed at promoting and implementing spatial planning, landscaping, urban design and their adaptation to climate change. Much of this work has received national and international acclaim.

She combines her professional work as an architect with research and teaching. She is currently a lecturer teaching the Master’s Degree in Landscape Design at the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, the Joint Master's Degree in Urban Planning and Regional Studies at Madrid's National Institute for Public Administration and in the Department of Urban Planning and Regional Development at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. She is a member of the BINOCULAR research group at the Beulas Foundation's Centro de Arte y Naturaleza (CDAN), in Huesca, a member of the European Commission’s Mission Assembly for Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities, and a member of the European Europe Scientific Committee.

García’s research and professional practice are linked to landscaping and ecology as drivers of change for multi-scale plans and projects. In that regard, many of her studies and projects focus on the resilience of coastal, urban and metropolitan environments against the effects of climate change.
