Laia Carbonell

Poet, writer and journalist

Laia studied music at the Municipal Conservatory of Terrassa, and Journalism, Literary Theory and Comparative Literature at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, and holds a master’s degree in Communication and Culture from the University of Seville. She wrote the children’s story La Granota Blava for the Fundación ASPASIM, and coordinated the self-publication of the choral book A les Vuit al Raval, about experiencing 15 M (15 May 2011) in Terrassa, when the Indignados anti-austerity movement was born. In 2013 she reflected on her experience in Finland, where she lived for a time after completing her studies, in poems accompanied by musical works from different periods and genres: from Strauss to The Knife, from Monteverdi to Gardel, from Edith Piaf to Joan Colomo.
