David published his poem Veintiocho, which won the Noctiluca Prize for Love Poetry, while he was still at secondary school. In 2006, his collection of poems Urbi et Orbi won the Hiperion (ex aequo with Ben Clark) awarded by the publishing house of the same name, making him the youngest winner in the history of this literary prize. In that same year, he received the Málaga-Crea Award forEscrito Escroto Escruto.

He studied Hispanic Philology, is on the editorial committee of the magazine Robador de Europa and has published poems in various anthologies.
