Carlos Taibo

Writer, editor and expert in Political Science and Administration

Writer, editor and former senior lecturer in Political Science and Administration at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. A suporter of anarchism, the anti-globalisation movement, direct democracy and self-management, he has criticised the logic of economic growth, separating it from the concepts of progress and well-being. He is the author of some 20 books on the transitions in contemporary central and eastern Europe, notably La explosión soviética (2000), Rusia frente a Ucrania: Imperios, pueblos, energía (2014) and Soviets, comités de fábrica, comuna rural (2017), as well as essays of a general geopolitical interest, such as No es lo que nos cuentan: Una crítica de la Unión Europea realmente existente (2004), 150 preguntas sobre el nuevo desorden (2008), Nada será como antes: Sobre el movimiento 15-M (2011), En defensa de la consulta soberanista en Cataluña (2014), Ante el colapso: Por la autogestión y el apoyo mutuo (2019) and Anarquist@s y libertari@s, de aquí y de ahora (2019). 

He is a member of the Sin Permiso Editorial Board and a contributor to media publications such as Público.
