Zaida Muxí
A specialist in architecture and urban planning from a gender and feminist perspective
Born in Buenos Aires and now living in Barcelona, she is an architect who studied at FADU-UBA, graduating in 1988, and also holds a PhD in architecture from the University of Seville, gained in 2002. In addition, she teaches in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at ETSAB-UPC. Between 2015 and 2019, she was director of town planning, housing, the environment, urban ecology, public space, public roads and civic affairs in Santa Coloma de Gramenet. A specialist in architecture and urban planning from a gender and feminist perspective.
The author of L’Arquitectura de la Ciutat Global (Gustavo Gili, 2004), Arquitectura i Política. Assaigs per a Mons Alternatius (Gustavo Gili, 2011), Postsuburbia (2013) and Dones, Cases i Ciutats. Més Enllà del Llindar (DPR-Barcelona, 2018), among others. Together with co-author Josep Maria Montaner, this year she published Política y Arquitectura. Por un Urbanismo de lo Común y Ecofeminista.
