Nick Srnicek

Lecturer in digital economy

Lecturer in digital economy at the Department of Digital Humanities at King’s College, London. He holds a PhD in international relations and was the editor of Millennium: Journal of International Studies. Srnicek researches on the interaction between the political economy and new digital technologies. His articles analyse the threats and opportunities of the new economic and social panorama based on the appearance of what is digital, from a radical break perspective. 

Hence his co-authorship of the ACCELERATE: A Manifesto for an Accelerationist Politics (2013), which had a large impact worldwide and has been translated into several languages. His latest published books include Platform Capitalism (2016) and After Work: The Fight for Free Time (2019), together with Helen Hester.
