Writer and activist focusing on Islamophobia, intersectionality, gender and racism. Brigitte teaches on the Master’s in Gender and Communication programme at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, and collaborates on the Barcelona Interculturality Plan. She presents workshops on gender Islamophobia and LGBTI constructions from a cross-cultural perspective, and is an international consultant for the INTIMATE project – Citizenship, Care and Choice: The Micropolitics of Intimacy in Southern Europe, at the University of Coimbra’s Centre for Social Studies (CES).

She is the author of the novel PornoBurka (Ediciones Cautivas, 2013), with a prologue by Juan Goytisolo, and of numerous stories in collections such as Un Esforç Més (Bellaterra, 2013) and Relatos Marranos (Pol·len Edicions, 2014), among others. She also works with the media, for example with Catalunya Ràdio, eldiario.es and Periódico Diagonal.
