Andreu Belsunces Gonçalves

Design and technology sociologist

Gonçalves is a design and technology sociologist who researches and works on the intersection between digital cultures, new narratives, social innovation and collaborative, textual and interactive practices. He is a lecturer at the IED Design School and at the Escola Massana and an assistant researcher with the Communication Networks & Social Change Research Group at the Internet Interdisciplinary Institute (IN3), Open University of Catalonia (UOC). He has worked at the UNESCO office for MERCOSUR and at the CoBoi Social Innovation Laboratory. 

His artistic research, which includes analyses of techno-culture from a critical perspective, has been developed and presented at Hangar, Medialab Prado, the Museu del Disseny de Barcelona, the CCCB, CosmoCaixa and The Wrong Biennale. His works have been published in Crossmedia Innovations (Peter Lang), Fanáticos (UOC Press) and Design Does (Elisava), among other books. He is the co-founder of Becoming, a research studio in up-and-coming post-digital scenarios.
