Born to Chinese immigrant parents who established themselves in Barcelona during the post-Olympic years, she is educated in the Qingtian dialect, Mandarin Chinese, Catalan and Spanish. She embraces cultural mixing, the starting point for her attempts to construct personal narratives with film and theatre. Xiao Qiang is her first short film, an imaginary exploration of the region where her parents were born.
