Female rap group formed in Barcelona by MCs Bittah and Masiva Lulla. Tribade are committed to the rap culture and its original mission to empower and to protest through poetry and rhythm. Their lyrics take us into the universe of two women fighting against a precarious existence in a society dominated by male privilege in the 21st century. Furthermore, through their poetry they spotlight realities that are all too often silenced, such as local and neighbourhood struggles, LGBT issues, anti-fascist activism, etc. With their music, which is a fresh, original mix of rap with flamenco, soul, afrotrap and reggaeton, Tribade make it clearer than ever that Barcelona is not just about rumba and Latin beats.
