Adrià Garcia Mateu

Designer and activist, member of La Dinamo Advisory Council

Designer and activist involved in projects for improving the everyday aspects of transitions to planetary societies. Founding member of Holon SCCL, La Borda SCCL and the Dinamo Foundation Advisory Council. His research has focused on strategic design, design research and service design. A doctoral student with Dimmons (UOC) in design and public policies, he has worked for a decade on projects with organisation such as the UN Environment Programme and Interface Inc.

He graduated in Design from EINA, the Barcelona School of Design and Art, studied on the European Union LeNS Programme at the Polytechnic of Milan and has a Master's Degree in Strategic Leadership towards Sustainability from the Blekinge Institute of Technology (Sweden).

He is currently researching the impact of design on social transformations through policy design in the housing sector, focusing on user cooperatives. Since 2010 he has been involved in design education and is a founding member of EDIVI, a Catalan network of centres promoting design for social innovation and sustainability.
