Will Kymlicka
Professor of Philosophy at the University of Queen’s, Kingston (Canada). He is one of the most influential political scientists on the international panorama thanks to his research on ethnic problems and multicultural coexistence. Following this line of research he wrote Multicultural Citizenship: A Liberal Theory of Minority Rights (OUP, 1995), a reference text on the philosophical basis of multicultural policies. Other notable books include States, Nations and Cultures (1997) and Territorial Boundaries: A Liberal Egalitarian Perspective (2001) More recently he has focused his studies on animal rights with Zoopolis: A Political Theory of Animal Rights (OUP, 2011) co-written with Sue Donaldson, in which they question the limits of the concept of citizenship to include animals and develop new rules for animals and humans living together.
