Simon Critchley

(Hertfordshire, 1960)

Philosopher and lecturer in philosophy at the New School for Social Research in New York. He has had over twenty works published, in a diverse range of fields such as history of philosophy, political theory, religion and ethics. He is also noted for his monographs on the philosophers Emmanuel Levinas, Jacques Derrida and Martin Heidegger. Some of his essays analyse aspects of current popular culture, as in Bowie (Sexto Piso, 2016) and En qué pensamos cuando pensamos en fútbol (Sexto Piso, 2018), an essay that tackles the phenomenon of football from philosophy.
