Salwa El Gharbi

Also known as Saloua Laquaji Faridi. Born in Tangier, she studied Law in Fez and is an expert lawyer in diversity and immigration and Catalan politics . She came to Barcelona in 1994. She worked from 2001 to 2012 as the Director of the Department of Human Rights and Cultural Diversity at the UNESCO Centre of Catalonia. She is the Chair of the Tamettut, the Association of Amazigh Women for Culture and Development.
She has been a member of the Catalan Parliament since 28 January 2018.
