Henry Marsh

Renowned surgeon with a long career at St, George’s Hospital in London. His memoirs Do No Harm (Orion, 2014) became an unexpected best-seller, thanks to the sincerity with which he tackles the ethical dilemmas of his profession and poses the need to restructure the doctor-patient relationship. In 2017 he published a second part, Admissions: Life as a Brain Surgeon (Thomas Dunne Books), where he reflects on his retirement, death and his professional career. He is also known for having featured in the documentary The English Surgeon (2007) which won an Emmy award.
