David Fernàndez

(Vila de Gràcia, 1974)
Journalist with La Directa, Coop57 member and social activist. He is affiliated to Intersindical Alternativa de Catalunya. He co-wrote Cròniques del 6 i altres retalls de la claveguera policial; Cop de CUP, with Julià de Jòdar; and Foc a la barraca. He coordinate with Àlex Romaguera the four-volume Llums i taquígrafs. Atles de la corrupció als Països Catalans and recently published “August Gil Matamala, al principi de tot hi ha la guerra” with Anna Gabriel. He was the spokesperson for the political party group CUP Alternativa d’Esquerres at the Catalan Parliament from 2012 to 2015. He is an active member of the En Peu de Pau initiative, in support of peaceful and non-violent civil disobedience. He works with the philosopher Xavier Antich and the journalist Mònica Terribas to liven up the radio programme ‘El Racó de Pensar’ on Catalunya Ràdio.
