Diego Falconí
Lawyer specialising in Human Rights with a PhD in Theory of Literature and Comparative Literature. Lecturer in Law at the University of San Francisco de Quito and adjunct lecturer in the area of Arts at the UAB. Co-director of the Intertexts between Law and Literature group. His lines of research centre on comparativism and literary analysis, law, normativity and gay, lesbian and queer studies, post/decolonial theories and Andean studies, areas in which he has had several individual and co-authored works published. He coedited El cuerpo del significante (Cos i Textualitat, 2011) and Resentir lo queer en América Latina (Egales, 2014), among other books. He received the 2016 Casa de las Américas Prize in the category of essay for De las cenizas al texto. Literaturas andinas de las disidencias sexuales en el siglo XX(2016).
