Libraries are transforming

The world of books and reading was shaken by the irruption of digital media, a revolution that seemed to herald the demise of books. Luckily, the worst forecasts have not come true and books have managed to coexist happily with screens.

This new scenario involves transformations in reading practices, but also the redefining of libraries. In short, it calls for a new ecosystem for texts that are written, published, read and understood, something that is essential to understand when working on the critical sense and survival of our democracies.
