Populisms
Against institutional power
Atención: Esta actividad se realizará en el Auditorio del C. Cívic Cotxeres de Sants
We often speak of populism to refer in general to phenomena that have little to do with each other. We speak of right-wing populism to refer to xenophobic movements that operate in various European countries. But we also use the term to characterise 5 Stelle or to describe Podem. We are referring more to a rejection of institutional power and their complicity with the oligarchy than to a specific political current.
In this session of the Biennial, we wish to discuss the concept of populism and analyse to what extent it may prove useful to us in finding solutions to the process of erosion of people's perspective on the quality of our democracies.
