Democracy and cultural pluralism The use of public areas
The public areas of cities are ideal places for the expression of democracy. A polyphony of voices fill these places where there are sometimes social, economic, cultural, religious or national conflicts between a variety of groups.
Under these circumstances, the debate on whether public areas are conveniently neutral places for social pluralism becomes relevant.
