Minorities under suspicion
Mistrust and rumours arising from diversity
Today's democratic societies are based on respect for human dignity, freedom, equality and solidarity, values that must guarantee coexistence based on the recognition of diversity. In practice, however, this diversity may become a source of prejudice and negative connotations, which condemn newcomers to a position of vulnerability and mistrust.
Minorities under suspicion opens the series of conferences at the Sala Beckett concerning fear and prejudice.
