Margarita Padilla García

Computer programmer at the Dabne cooperative. As a promoter of Sindominio (1998) and a free software activist, she likes to say she works “making the Internet” She learned the social and political uses of GNU/Linux in social centre squats, not at university. Since then she has continued investigating the relationship between political action and new technologies. She moves in the intersections between technical and social, teaching people, especially children, about technologies from a critical perspective by means of training and outreach activities. She is currently a member of the Som Connexió cooperative governing body.
