Discovering the cloud
Community models for the ownership and management of internet infrastructures
Public, private and commons digital infrastructure sections and their connections are represented on a physical model of a generic city (made from wood). The model has an electronic system where you can press buttons that activate areas of the city and, for example, illuminate the route information takes when someone downloads a film. The city is accompanied by a narrative that uses the general public as a commons infrastructure and which also generates questions about the future of the internet.
The workshop is available at two times: 11 am - 1 pm, and 6.30 pm - 8.30 pm, with a seating capacity for 30 people (per workshop). Prior registration required
Limited places. Pre-registration required.
