Marcus du Sautoy

Mathematician and populariser of science, presently the holds the prestigious Simonyi Professorship Chair for the Public Understanding of Science at Oxford University. He is a regular contributor to The Times and The Guardian newspapers and takes part in several popular-science television programmes. He presented Mind Games, a successful BBC science programme, for a season. He has written numerous books, including The Music of the Primes, which has been translated into Spanish as La música de los números primos (Acantilado, 2010), where he investigates the mystery surrounding the history of prime numbers. This year saw another of his works, What We Cannot Know, published in Spanish as Lo que no podemos saber (Acantilado, 2018), an essay on the limits of knowledge and the motivations behind scientific research.
