Igor G. Barbero

(Bilbao, 1983)
He studied journalism at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He worked for two years as a freelance journalist in Germany and for eight years as a corresponding in Pakistan, India and Bangladesh. He is a co-founder of Revista 5W, an international in-depth information magazine that puts the emphasis on narratives and photographs. He has lived in Barcelona since the end of 2016, where he works as a communication adviser in the emergencies unit of the humanitarian organisation Médecins sans Frontières. 2018 saw the publication of his first book, Bangladesh. Crónica de un país olvidado, a journalistic chronicle resulting from his time as a correspondent in that Asian country.
