Rita Laura Segato
Lecturer of Anthropology and Bioethics in the UNESCO Chair at the University of Brasilia. Her early work is in the field of anthropology of music but more recently she has centred her research on sexist violence against and the murder of women. Having become an internationally recognised authority in the field, she has published essays such as La escritura en el cuerpo de las mujeres asesinadas en Ciudad Juárez (Tinta Limón, 2014) and La guerra contra las mujeres (Traficantes de Sueños, 2016). Her publications also include works on colonialism such as La crítica a la colonialidad en ocho ensayos (Prometeo Libros, 2015).
