A specialist in architecture and urban planning from a gender and feminist perspective
Born in Buenos Aires and now living in Barcelona, she is an architect who studied at FADU-UBA, graduating in 1988, and also holds a PhD in architecture from the University of Seville, gained in 2002. In addition, she teaches in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at ETSAB-UPC. Between 2015 and 2019, she was director of town planning, housing, the environment, urban ecology, public space, public roads and civic affairs in Santa Coloma de Gramenet. The author of L’Arquitectura de la Ciutat Global (Gustavo Gili, 2004), Arquitectura i Política. Assaigs per a Mons Alternatius (Gustavo Gili, 2011), Postsuburbia (2013) and Dones, Cases i Ciutats. Més Enllà del Llindar (DPR-Barcelona, 2018), among others. Together with co-author Josep Maria Montaner, this year she published Política y Arquitectura. Por un Urbanismo de lo Común y Ecofeminista.
