Doctoral researcher at the Data Justice Lab, Cardiff University. Interested in the re-politicisation of data and technology in the European political, cultural, and socio-historical context, her research addresses the impact of the implementation of evidence-based decisions by European police on marginalised communities.
She is programme manager for the Digital Defenders Partnership (DDP), a competitive grant mechanism that provides support to organisations and individuals working in the field of digital emergencies. The partnership was established to provide a rapid response to a range of threats to Internet freedom: from supporting bloggers and cyber activists under attack, to facilitating the rollout of emergency Internet in countries where the Internet is either not free, or is not accessible.
