Yacine Belahcene

A singer resident in Catalonia with an Algerian father and Catalan mother, he moved to Barcelona, having lived Algiers up to the age of 13. He made his stage début with Cheb Balowski. He has led several groups, including Nour, Rumbamazigha and finally Yacine & the Oriental Groove.
Offering an electric staging, Yacine Belahcene, sails through the Mediterranean, reclaiming its musicality free of complexes, through sounds echoing at the ports of Algiers, Marseilles and Barcelona, faraway but bathed in the same sea, fleeing from any stereotype built from any base, resulting from the prejudices of our neighbourhoods and cities.
