Sandra Bestraten
(Barcelona, 1976)
Graduate in Architecture from the Barcelona Higher Technical School of Architecture (ETSAB). She took part in the Morro de Moravia project in Medellín, involving the transformation of a large dump into an urban park, through the UNESCO Chair on Sustainability at the UPC. She lectures in the elective courses “Housing and Cooperation” - “Low-cost technologies for cooperation” and is in charge of the Architecture and Action Seminar from the Arquitectes de Capçalera Thematic Workshop (TTAC) at ETSAB. A partner at the architectural firm Bestraten Hormias Arquitectura slp and the chair and coordinator of development cooperation projects at the non-profit organisation University without Borders (UWB), she has also been the Chair of the Barcelona Chapter of the Catalan Architects’ Association since May 2018.
