Simona Levi

(Turin, Italy, 1966)
Theatre director, dramatist, technopolitical strategist, curator, multidisciplinary artist, researcher and teacher. In recent years, as an activist, she has concentrated of free culture, digital democracy and the use of digital tools for organisation, technopolitical communication, collective action, the fight against State corruption and democratic renewal.
She initiated projects such as Xnet or 15MpaRato, which led to the trial of Bankia’s chiefs, and co-directs the postgraduate course at the BSM-UPF on Technopolitics and Rights in the Digital Era.
Her plays have been performed in theatres and at festivals all round Europe, and she has created festivals that have had a big impact, such as OXcars or InnMotion.
She is the co-author of books such as Votar y cobrar. La impunidad como forma de gobierno (Capitan Swing, 2017) and Tecnopolítica, internet y r-evoluciones (Icaria, 2012).
