Álvaro Enrigue

He is one of the mos internationally renowned writers on the current Mexican literary scene. He received the Herralde Prize in 2013 for Muerte Súbita (Anagrama, 2013). He had previously published other critically acclaimed novels, including Vidas perpendiculares (Anagrama, 2008) and Decencia (Anagrama, 2011). Another notable work of his is Valiente clase media (Anagrama, 2013), where he tries his hand at essays. His novel Ahora me rindo y eso es todo (Anagrama, 2018), is set on the border between Mexico and the United States and builds a mosaic of narratives for reflecting on how the past penetrates the present.
