Judith Butler

Professor of the Department of Comparative Literature at the University of California, Berkeley. Originally specialising in gender studies, her work also includes important reflections in the area of ethics, politics and human rights. She is considered today to be one of the most influential women intellectuals in the world. Her reference works published in Spanish include El género en disputa: el feminismo y la subversión de la identidad (Paidós, 2007), Vida precaria: el poder del duelo y la violencia (Paidós, 2007) and her latest essay: Cuerpos aliados y lucha política (Paidós, 2017).
