Marina Subirats

Emeritus Professor of Sociology, Autonomous University of Barcelona. She was the Director of the Women 's Institute of the Ministry of Social Affairs (1993-1996) and Councillor for Education of Barcelona City Council (1999 - 2006). She has written different books and articles on gender and sociology of education, among which are Barcelona: De la necessitat a la llibertat. Les classes socials al tombant del segle XXI (2013) Barcelona: L’Avenç i Coeducació, una aposta per la llibertat, (2017) Barcelona: Octaedro.
