Gemma Parellada
Independent journalist and African correspondent for media outlets such as El País, Ara.cat, El Mundo, El Periódico de Catalunya, Público, Catalunya Ràdio, CNN and HBO. Her research and outreach work on the political and social reality in various African countries has been acknowledged with the 8th Joan Gomis Memorial Award for solidarity journalism (2013), the DevReporter Award (2016) and the 13th Miguel Gil Moreno Journalism Award for her professional career (2016).
